We are pleased to invite you to the inauguration of Verona Tessile Festival, which will be held on Monday April 24th at 5pm at the Castelvecchio Museum.

The occasion will be a chance to preview the exhibition “Old Quilts from 1800. American and European”, whilst all other exhibitions will open to the public from Tuesday the 25th and Sunday the 30th

The exhibition held at Sala Boggian will introduce the public to a selection of antique works from the private collections of Giuliana Nicoli (curator of the exhibition), Flora Burello, Sabrina Pasciuti and Annalisa Panerai, all antique quilts collectors.

G-BOW TIE QUILT

From the Log Cabin, which represents the log cabins of the pioneers who reached the USA from Europe, to the Whole-Cloth quilts destined to the dowries of young women searching for a prince charming: many are the fabrics, techniques and stories concealed behind each piece.

DOUBLE WEDDING RING

Wednesday April 26th, from 2pm until 6pm, the curator will take enthusiasts and those who are curious, on a guided visit.

For the complete exhibition schedule, we invite you to visit the dedicated page. There are many occasions to meet this year’s Festival guest curators and artists.

To ensure you don’t miss any of the events, you can download the map of the locations, which you’ll also find at each exhibition and at our info-point in Cortile Mercato Vecchio.
